At the core of our philosophy is love. For children, starting in a new school marks the start of an epic and life changing journey. As educators and caregivers it is our job to smooth the transition and make sure that not only the child is comfortable in the environment but also that they will thrive in a way that allows them to continue to broaden their horizons and explore, we call this care for the Whole Child. That is, meeting needs on every level and offering a catalyst for personal, educational and social growth. All children, no matter what their abilities are should be able to do great things in our school. It is crucial that not only children feel included in major parts of the core program but also that families feel comfortable and included in the process of care. One aspect of care that sometimes is easily forgotten is how much culture plays a role in everything we do. In caring for children it is important that we acknowledge and embrace the variety of diversity and culture in our environments of care. In doing this, then and only then can we help in the growth of Global Citizens: Individuals who show the utmost care and develop respect not only for themselves but also their family, friends, nature, the environment and the unknown.
